(Religious) "Study and Faith" Chapter 4 of Russ book Education of the Heart

"Consider, for example, the difference between the word study used as a noun and as a verb."
This is such a cool distinction. When we do an action it is with the intent to do something. the same is true of our study. We should be studying with a goal in mind.

"proper study is always a social act: we will inevitably want to share what we have learned"
I think if we learn something that we find valuable then we will have a natural desire to share it with others.

"Regular scripture reading and prayer are integral to the education of the heart because they allow God to participate with us in our search"
